About
600 Series Design
600
Series Design was founded in 2002 by
Will Horton, after spending four years at XPLANE, a prominent St. Louis information design
firm.
Through this agency relationship, and by pursuing independent working relationships with business consultants during the dot-com bubble years and beyond, 600 Series Design has gained invaluable experience dealing with the communications challenges of the smallest of small businesses, to Fortune
50 organizations. These experiences shaped the principles that this company is based
on:
- Listen to
the underlying business challenges that created specific assignments
- Offer flexibility in service to handle challenges from many possible directions
- Treat the customer's customer as our own
Why "600 Series?"
The name of the company derives from the game of bowling,
once America's prime time pastime, and on a personal level, my lifetime pursuit. A "600 series"
is made up of three games averaging 200 points apiece, a very
difficult achievement for your average player, and one that
I decided to dedicate myself to some years back.
By studying and refining my approach - the steps taken before
you actually throw the ball - this
once unreachable goal is now "par," and I have been fortunate enough to bowl a perfect 300 game in the process!
Professionally, 600 Series Design has been dedicated to the achieving the same result. By studying
and streamlining our approach as we practice it, 600 Series
Design has been able to make the leap from simple illustration house to an agency capable of solving extremely complex corporate communication challenges. We continue to learn from our customers as we grow.
Furthermore, we hope to have the opportunity to grow with you.
